So, you’re an online marketer with a great idea that you know will be loved by your target market. You’re quite certain that it’s going to be a venerable cash cow once it is implemented properly. The problem is, your resources are quite wanting at the moment. For starters, you have yet to establish a credible brand that could instantly win consumer confidence. You will not be able to sell the product that would result from your idea on the strength of your name alone. Also, your mailing list is composed of ten subscribers, all of whom you have painstakingly sought out throughout two years… or even more. More importantly, you don’t have the financial capital to fund the production of your idea.
So, what should be done? Should you give up on your grand idea just like that?
Hold your horses, dear friend. There is a way that you could avail of to have your idea see the light of day.
It’s called joint venturing, or JV as it has fondly been called in the online marketing scene. Joint ventures are partnerships between two or more online marketers, all of whom pool together their resources to ensure the success of a particular project. Once profit is realized, these partners employ a previously established profit-sharing scheme. Everyone who chipped in would be given his just share. And everyone would go home happy.
If you don’t have the resources for the idea you have in mind, you could seek out some online businessmen who would be willing to enter a joint venture with you. • Joint ventures help build your brand in the online marketing community. If you’re an intermediate marketer who manages to enter a joint venture with a renowned guru, you’d be able to enjoy an instant boost to your reputation in the industry.
• Joint ventures foster great relationships between marketers. The experience of having worked with each other can blossom into friendship and future partnerships.
There is no reason for an online marketer to refuse whatever helpful contribution you could provide for a project. He may be a well established personality in the industry, and you’re just a cub who’s starting out, but you may possess something that he does not have, and this would make you a valuable part of the team.
The trick, really, is in knowing where to seek out some joint venture partners. If you have a great idea backed up by an equally amazing business plan, then finding willing partners would be easy, if you’re looking for them in the right places.
Here’s a tip. Join online business forums and start posting significant messages. Be a helpful member of the community and build your reputation. Then publish a thread the calls for joint venture partners. Explain to your respondents what you have in mind, and chances are, they’ll be more than interested to get started at the soonest possible time.
Joint ventures prove that in internet marketing, there is no such thing as lack of resources. What can lead to failure in this field is lack of imagination.

Every now and again along comes an affiliate marketing product which truly revolutionizes the way you do business. Not very often but it happens. The latest evidence of this is a product called StoreStacker. Now you may not have heard much about it but that is probably because the people behind it do not use ‘mass control’ style launches and up until the release of store stacker were very much focused on the blogging niche, particularly auto blogging.
So what is storestacker. Basically it is a piece of clever software which creates a storefront for you stocked with products from affiliate programs, at the moment there are 3, amazon, eBay and for the first 500 customers Clickbank. The real beauty of this software is that it a real breeze to install and you can potentially have 1000’s of products online in minutes. You can see an example site at http://www.qibs.com/ or my test set up at http://www.golfguidedirect.com/Store/ which took me a whole hour from start to finish. There are a ton of enhancements, like templates etc I can add but wanted to get it out there fast so you could see it.
If i went through everything I like about this software it would potentially take me hours so I’ll try and summarize as best i can.
Good Stuff:
1. Easy to set up
2. Imports products from Amazon, eBay and Clickbank automatically, no uploading one product at a time.
3. StoreStacker can be used to add products to an existing site or as a standalone site builder
4. Being able to build a store in a folder on an existing site is huge for me. I have over 200 sites and because storestacker pulls the products from different sources I am virtually guaranteed to be able to build a site for any topic/website
5. StoreStacker can add thousands of pages of content to a site in mins if you want, and tons of long tail, product-based keywords. Added to sites that already have solid in-links, this can translate to a nice bump in search engine traffic. A new site created with the system has a big advantage over any ‘regular’ website.
6. You can optimize all the pages on your site by editing 3 files, similar to the way permalinks works in Wordpress you can have the page listed as category/productname.html or anything you want, this is truly awesome and beats any ecommerce system I’ve seen.
7. You can ADD YOUR OWN PRODUCTS too. Fill up the categories with affilaite ptoducts from eBay etc then add your own products or plr products.
8. When you add your own products you can actually get the site to make sure your products are always displayed first, EXTRA profit!
9. If you really want to go overboard you could actually build your own store that is bigger than amazon, at least in terms of products because you could add everything from Amazon, then add eBay and CB and voila. Not sure I recommend this but I might give it a shot when I’m bored!
10. Product support from a great company! Once the intitial launch is out of the way, they plan to only release 1000 copies, they are closing the sales and going to work on adding more affiliate programs. This is not an idle promise, they have done this before with other products and never failed yet to improve upon a product. Expect to see Paydotcom, Linkshare, Shareasale and other similar sites.
11. Last but definitely not least is that each category in your store comes with its own rss feed, the promotional possibilities are endless!

Not so good stuff
1. At the moment CB products do not have an image added automatically but they are fixing this and you can edit any product yourself and add images, change description if you really want
2. Adding 1000 pages instantly to a site all at once can raise a red flag but there is nothing to stop you doing it gradually.
3. The templates are not great but they are promising to release more and they are all editable anyway if you have some basic html knowledge.
Thats it. I can honestly say this is the best thing I have seen in ages, I can’t wait to see the profits rolling in from my 200 new stores!

Myspace Marketing
Myspace marketing was a huge thing a couple of years ago, or maybe even a year ago but then Myspace decided they wanted to get rid of all the spammers wchich unfortunately resulted in regular white hat marketers like me (well most of the time, LOL) getting frozen out to. So I packed my bags and left Myspace land never to return. Well that is what i thought anyway. I met up with an old friend at a recent seminar and he told me he was starting to get great results with Myspace marketing again. Anyway for the past 6 weeks I have been back with new profiles, adding friends, sending out posts etc same old thing.
While the results are not what they were 18 months ago I am getting sales I would have otherwise missed and in one particular niche, my list has grown from a measly 1000 to 14000 in the last 3 weeks! Now thats what I love, a fast growing list with no ppc costs!!! So I suggest you go back and give it a try. you might be surprised. All the big boy marketers are spending all their social networking time trying to conquer Facebook which in my humble is a waste of time compared to the speed with which myspace gives results.
